- Place one drop of 10 % ammonia solution and one drop of 1 % Dimethylglyoxime (DMG) solution onto cotton wool bud.
- Rub sample with cotton wool bud for 15 Seconds.
- Pink/red Colour on bud indicates presence of nickel.
